Configure dual screens in Solaris 10

If you have a video card that supports dual connections and you are using Solaris 10, you can use fbconfig to configure dual monitors.

First use fbconfig -list to see what monitors are attached.

Then use fbconfig -doublewide enable to turn on dual screen.

You may then have to reboot for it to take effect.

If you want to change the login screen so that it better suits dual screens have a look at how to create a GDM theme and how to switch from xlogin to GDM.
